Client work
The online competitions market is saturated with websites offering much the same experience: similar layouts, similar mechanics, similar promises. 676 Competitions was entering that market with a strong brand and ambitious plans, and the last thing it needed was to look like everybody else. The commercial problem was differentiation: standing out enough to win entrants, and running competitions efficiently enough to grow.
Off-the-shelf competition packages are quick to launch, but they shape the business around the template rather than the other way round. The customer experience, the operating model and the room to grow all end up constrained by what the package allows. 676 chose differently: a platform designed around its own brand, commercial model and plans for growth.
TmT designed and delivered a completely custom competition experience, from browsing and entering competitions through customer accounts, payments and marketing. Competition pages update in real time as entries come in and draws approach, so customers see the state of play as it happens rather than a site that catches up later.
Behind the scenes, the platform automates the competition lifecycle: closing entries, preparing draws, running integrated live-streamed draws, notifying entrants the moment a draw goes live, and publishing winners with post-draw follow-up handled automatically. Work that would otherwise absorb staff time on every single competition now runs as part of the platform.
676 launched with a customer experience its market could not lift from a template catalogue, and an operation designed to scale with competition volume rather than with headcount. Because the platform was built to evolve with the business, new competition formats and commercial ideas have a home rather than a workaround.
